I am SO "live-blogging" the State of the Union Address...

But before I start, Nigra knows the word "soothed." She has cocked her head every time Steph or I have said it. She was just brushed with her comb. She likes that now.

Live blogging starts now...

...and we're still clapping.

I think my favorite so far are the following scenes:

The two older gentlemen that were supposed to introduce the President just stood there. They looked confused. And then, when they did shout it out (the poor dears standing right next to them are all-kinds of deaf), they tilted their heads to the right and left when they shouted like they had turrets.

My other favorite so far was Michelle Obama who did not look her usual pleased-self while she was applauding her husband's entrance. I like to think of them as normal people behind the scenes, and so, that sassy look of "I'll clap, but I won't be happy about it" was because they had an argument about him leaving the toilet seat up.

As everyone continued to clap, and the camera showed her again, she still had that same look, which Steph said, "She's still does not look happy."

I said, "She must've fallen in."

As I watch Lady Speaker and the Mr. Vice-President sit behind Mr. President, it makes me realize that I would be horrible at their job. Not because it's politics, but because that camera would find me during a president's speech, sitting there behind him/her, and I would be nodding off. I would probably already know what he was going to be talking about, so I would be drooling, ruining my really nice suit.

Now he's talking about striking down the largest banks with fees while paying back the taxpayers. Good deal. Stupid bankers and their "bail out bonuses."

Op. We're standing and applauding again. I think this is the third time in about 30 seconds.

"I thought I'd get some applause on that one," he said...and up shoots Nancy, looking a tad bit drunk, clapping.

...and more clapping...

This is so (clap, clap, clap) why the State of the (clap, clap, clap) Union (clap, clap, clap) speech take so (clap, clap, clap) long to get through (clap, clap, clap). After (clap, clap, clap) every word, there is (clap, clap, clap) applause.

That was my first live-blogging event ever. I hope you enjoyed it. All of my insight will definitely help you form decent opinions about the political state of the nation.

We have changed the channel. Until next time...
