Nanowrimo Update
I...just...can't...do...it.
Not yet, at least. I fore-went (past tense for fore-go?) one day, and that one day turned into four and I didn't have the time to sit down and write 3,000 words everyday to make up for lost time. It's not that I've given up on a novel-in-a-month, and it's not even that it's not realistic. I could've achieved great feats. I just became a little lazy.
And then I realized I'm neglecting the Appendix (this, here), my actual column on my official site (not touched since the summer) and I have season three of "Blinding Innocents" to construct and record before the holidays. I also have another addition to "The Puptuals" to add to the Appendix, but I haven't sat down to draw that yet. Along with a 50,000 word novel on top of all those projects, it's a sad fact I don't get paid to do it all, and since none of it is truly making any money, I've just focused on my real job.
*sigh*
But November isn't over yet. I don't think I'll get to 50,000 words, but I also have a 4-day weekend coming up. I will try to use that time if I can.
I just need to get my butt in gear to submit something in the publishing world. Book #2 has promise (at least as an original idea for mainstream fiction), but until that's finished, I can't just sit around and wait to be discovered.
Although, with the writer's strike going on, perhaps someone could stumble upon Blinding Innocents and hire me as a soap opera writer.

As you said, you're not giving up on the ideas, you're simply giving it a more reasonable timeline.
