H.A.G.S.
As the school year ends, kids who aren't very popular will get the acronym H.A.G.S. written in their yearbook. It simplifies the generic "have a great summer" so the popular people can spend even less time with those who are "unpopular."
I started saying this to random people in the hallway:
"Have a great summer," they'd say.
"H.A.G.S. to you, too," I replied.
And so went the last teacher day.
Then, as I thought I was witty, I passed two older women in the hallway. One's an English teacher, while the other is the computer person.
I waved and said, "H.A.G.S."
Then I started laughing.
